This year's theme is "Reimagining the past, shaping our future" and whether you are new to community development or an experienced practitioner, this event offers a valuable opportunity to share knowledge, explore future directions, and discuss strategies for fostering meaningful change within local contexts.
Held over 3 days, from 14th to 16th October 2025, the conference will be held "street party" style in Mowbray Street adjacent to Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre, with events held across several stunning venues in the heart of beautiful Port Douglas, just two blocks from vibrant Macrossan Street, with numerous accommodation options within walking distance, it’s the perfect chance to combine professional growth with the beauty and vibrancy of tropical paradise. The 2025 Community Development Conference is proudly organised by the Far North QLD Collective, a dedicated group of Neighbourhood Centres and Community Organisations committed to strengthening and supporting communities across the region.
